How do we get knowledge about anything?
Your Guru is the source of all knowledge. He can instill the seed of knowledge system inside you. Or directly give you knowledge through, mantra,shaktipat etc.
The granth and scriptures can give you some information but not all knowledge as lot of the knowledge is maligned due to Kaliyug forces like British,Mughals.
The next best way to get knowledge about any system is doing sadhana. Where you get connected to that knowledge that is present in the universe forever. You can call it hiranyagarbh or akashic records. But the knowledge is there out there. And once you get connected to that knowledge you'll be able to download any information.
That is the actual vedas. Not the 4 books that ppl think is Vedas.
If you don't believe me Do sadhana, gain experience and clear understanding of a subject then you'll know , you just get the knowledge into your head in deep meditation or just in thought.
The yantra we are given when we are initiated into the Sadhana feels like a doorway or an entry point into something much larger than what we call Mind. And it feels like something living, not just a geometric structure filled with Sanskrit letters.
