Happy Vasant Panchami!
Vasant Panchami, is a festival celebrated in the honor of the Devi Saraswati. It is a festival that marks the preparation for the arrival of Spring . The festival is celebrated by people in the Indian subcontinent in various ways depending on the region. Basant Panchami also marks the start of preparation for Holika and Holi , which take place forty days later.
There are many forms of Devi Saraswati- who is known as the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom.
If one follows the satvik path .. we worship the consort of Lord Bramha as Devi Saraswati. The Devi of Dakshinachar and people who follow Veda form of knowledge. Meaning she can be pleased by path prescribed by vedic methods and Dakshin methods.
Her bheej mantra is Aim
Neel saraswati is another form of Saraswati. Neel saraswati or Tara maha vidya is equal to 1000 saraswati. Her knowledge is equal to 1000 saraswati put together.
She has many forms neel Saraswati,ugra Tara,ekJati Tara .She is one Devi that cannot be pleased or won by vedic methods or dakshin methods. She is a tantric Devi. Vam ,aghor and any other methods only impress her. One must practice panch makar to gain knowledge or develop that part of one's mind. BUT THE KICKER IS KAULANTAK PEETH HIMALAYA PRESCRIBES DAKSHIN METHODS TO FULFILL THESE PANCHMAKAR. Siddhas found a way loophole too.She is also known as the Devi for atheists or Nastiks.
