Is Bindi a misogynistic symbol!?

Writer: Sacred feminineSacred feminine

Bindi is the symbol of Devi Shakti. A married woman is supposed to adorn rajasic traditions to bring harmony and continuation in her family life.

Sringar is one of the Navras that a woman must follow and develop in her brain to create a beautiful home and family. In grahast ashram, a woman is supposed to follow her husband only. Pati vrata! But just as devi Parvati she has another duty to make sure her husband is on the path of Dharma. To remind him to do spiritual practices and not be enchanted by the maya around him that she herself is an embodiment of. She is his vam ang or left side or Shakti - ultimate strength. And He has to become Shiva.

A female ( sometimes) unmarried sadhak or Bhairavi wears a big red bindi on her forehead , which is now copied as a fashion statement. But it is an original symbol that shows the world - I am shakti and I follow the path of Shakti to come in union of Shiva.

So girls do adequate amount of makeup as it develops your sringar tattva in your brain and increases the stri tattva inside you. After all only you have the exclusive authority over this tattva.[ element]
